Believe and you will achieve!

Yup, that's right!! Believe in yourself and your life and you will go far!! You will meet your goals, maybe even exceed them!!  That's what I am doing, and I feel so much better!! I have more energy, more self confidence, feel more self worth and just plain feel better for myself! To date I have lost 25.2 lbs in 86 days!  I plan to start my 2nd 90-day challenge this weeks!!  I look forward to supporting those who have signed on with me as well as those who will sign on!!  So, are you next?!

Bettering myself!!!

It has only taken me 4 years, but I am FINALLY learning to make myself a priority!  Yes I know I have said I was doing so before, but honestly, I don't think I was.  I took the plunge 84 days ago and started the Visalus Nutritional shakes and joined the Body by Vi Challenge.  So far I have lost 21.8 lbs.  I am so pleased with my results and couldn't be happier!!  I have been so very luck to have found and awesome Mentor with whom I am very pleased to call a friend!! With her encouragement I signed on to be a promoter and couldn't be happier!!

 I have also signed up some friends and am excited to help them along their journey with finding nutrition, losing weight or both!! I hope to find more who are willing and wanting to better them selves!!!  If that's you, PLEASE feel free to contact me!!

Kindergarten

Well, it's official, i am the mother of a Kindergartener. Kanin didn't sleep great last night, he never really did say why, but I think it had to do with nerves. He was up from 320-515 off and on. I did get a message from his teacher saying he was doing ok, just needed alot of redirection. This is quite normal for him, because no matter what we do for him, he is a busy boy. I have been a nervous wreck all day and tear up out of the blue. Jesse and I did take Korbyn out to dinner, and surprisingly enough, he is doing ok, just asked where Kanin is a few times.

One week...

One week from now, I am sure you will find me pacing the halls worrying about Kanin's first day of school the next day. I am sure he will do fine, but this mom has a lot of worries and fears!! Look out Mrs Cook and class, Kanin is on his way to Kindergarten!!

Been awhile, again...

Once again it has been awhile since I posted, so much for being a regular poster! Oh well!! Summer has come and is virtually gone before our eyes!! It hasn't been that great of a summer, primarily because of the flooding, rain and cool start. We did enjoy our summer despite it all. The biggest downer was the cancelling of the state fair, but the boys didn't know our plans to go, so we made their yearly check up in Bismarck a 2 day trip and hit the zoo, stayed in a motel and had fun. I suppose I better add that the last few weeks have been kind of discouraging because our apartment is wet due to the rain. First it was just the boys' room, but last Tuesday it ended up being my room as well as the living room, so we have been staying with mom and dad, waiting for it to dry.

On the ups, well, we have been busy, we have made a couple of zoo trips, went to Grand Forks a few times with Jesse, went to the country fair a couple of days, went back to MN with Jesse to meet his family, and Jesse has spent most of his time off here with us. Kanin has learned how to ride his bike without training wheels and they have spent a lot of time riding their powerwheels over at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Speaking of Grandma and Grandpa, we also helped them move into a new house this summer!! It has been very exciting and we all love their new place!! We are all very excited to have Bumpy feeling so much better and even more excited to see he is walking again!!

Of course the big upcoming news is that Kanin will be starting Kindergarten in a week and a half! He seems like his ready, but me, not so much!! We will see how it goes!!

Finally!!!

I'm excited to say that Korbyn is finally potty trained!! No more diapers and only pull-ups at naptime/bedtime!! Five years in a row with diapers and we are diaper free!! YAY!!!!!

Still dealing with the sick

Got a call today about Kanin, and it seems he has a couple of nasty bugs causing his ear infection. So we once again have switched antibiotics. He has been on antibiotics for a full week now and will now be on for 10 more days! Poor kid is so sick of meds, but is happy that the ear drops are gone! Lets hope this brings my lil man back to himself 100%!!

Sick boys.....

Kanin woke up on Friday morning just screaming saying his ear hurt, well I looked it at and it was draining pretty good, so I called into work and took him to the Dr. Of course as I suspected it was an ear infection. He was started on Zithromax and they had to go to their dads house that night. When they came how Sunday both had a cough. They spent the night at mom and dads because mom babysat them while I worked Monday (yesterday). When I picked them up, Kanin's ear was still draining and he was running a temp. Off and on throughout the night last night, both boys were up coughing, crying or both. About 4 Kanin came to my room and had a temp of 101.8 so he fell asleep in my bed and I had to call into work again, he slept til 715. Korbyn got up at 745 and he had a temp of 102.6. I gave them yogurt and a banana for breakfast and Korbyn threw his up while I was on the phone with the clinic setting up an appointment for them. So at 930 we went to the Dr, Korbyn has an ear infection now too and Kanin's is still bad, so they cultured it to be sure we were treating it correctly and ordered a stronger oral antibiotic and also ear drops. He HATES his ear drops and I have to chase him around to give them, then hold him down!

They are both down for a nap now and then we are going to watch the new Yogi Bear movie (yes mommy felt bad for them, so she picked it up for them!)

Happy 3rd Birthday Korbyn!!

Hard to believe Korbyn is 3 years old already!! Time has flown and he has turned into his own little person! He is very strong willed, stubborn, hard headed, how ever you want to put it! He is the spitting image of his Uncle Levi though!!

Born 4-14-08 at 0649 via c-section 9lbs 21 3/4 inches! HAPPY 3RD BIRTHDAY LIL MAN!! I LOVE YOU TO THE MOON AND BACK!!!!

Spring has sprung!

It finally appears that spring is here! It is about time, the boys were definitely going stir crazy this winter. I was hoping to keep this updated more, but of course feel to the way-side again, but not much has changed since Christmas! The biggest change we have so far is that Kanin is now registered for Kindergarten. I am still very skeptical about this, but hope that he will do fine! When we went for registration he was so shy, and didn't want to go to the classroom with the teachers and other kids, but I know once he gets to know them it will be better, it didn't help that he was tired because he had been up at 0515 for daycare that morning.

Korbyn is still working on potty training. He is a stubborn lil bugger!!


Not much has changed with me, I am busy working and chasing after the boys as usual! Also working on planning their birthday party! They will have a double party this year and they are looking forward to going swimming with their friends!!

Of course the next big things are the boys' birthdays!! Korbyn will be 3 in 8 days! So had to believe! Then Kanin will be 5 at the end of May! Where does time go!

Right now we are staying with mom and dad because they had to gut the bathroom in our apartment. Looks like by the time they are done, we will have an almost new bathroom!!

Hope this spring and Easter season finds everyone well! I know we are looking forward to the snow and mud being gone so we can play outside in the dry weather and eventually go swimming!!

Where does he get the energy!?!?

Well both of them at that, but Kanin...the boys has more energy than the Energizer bunny. He is so strong headed and so strong willed, I just don't know where he gets it from?!? LOL!

He could argue the same topic with you until you give up, even though he is wrong!!

Take this morning for example!

Kanin (singing) Rudolph the nose red reindeer

Me: Honey, its Rudolph the red nose reindeer

No mommy its not, its rudolph the nose red reindeer

Okay I could go on..but this was at least a 15 minute conversation back and forth until I just gave up!! LOL!

Here is another one.....

Kanin: (singing once again) Turn off the radio
Me: Hey buddy it's turn on the radio
Kanin: No its not mommy it's turn off the radio
Korbyn: turn ON the radio
Me: Yes Korbyn you are right
Kanin: No mommy I am right and you guys are wrong it's turn off the radio

This too was a good 10-15 minute discussion


Today at dinner, I made them grilled cheese sandwiches

Kanin: Mommy i don't like them, they are besugsting
Me: No they are not disgusting honey
Kanin: It's besugsting and yes they are mommy
Me: Just try a bite and eat your lunch so you can take a nap
Kanin: But is besugsting mommy...
Me: Just eat (and he did...lol!)

Oh the mind of a 4 1/2 year old.

K: Well I don't want a heart

Halloween 2010

This entry has been a long time coming, I think about writing it, then sit down to do it and get distracted.

The boys had fun on Halloween, well, Korbyn, I can't say that for sure, because the poor kid would not talk to anyone, and when I say anyone, I mean it. Not me, Uncle Josh, Aunt Kristin, grandma, great grandma or Bumpy. He did say to one person, "I'm Elmo!" Yup Mr talkative there!

But boy did they make off like bandits! They received way too much candy, we will still probably have 1/2 if not more of it come next Halloween! Now off to the fun stuff, their pictures!

School Today

Well school today went well for Kanin! It was the first thing I asked the teacher. She did say that you can tell when he first comes how the day will go, and she said today he was calm and collected thus he had a good day. She said if he is rambunctious when he gets there it will usually be a 'busy' day for him!

I am just relieved that today was good!!
